Hail Caesar………..

Legend has it that Italian-American restaurateur Caesar Cardini invented the salad in 1924 in Tijuana, Mexico. According to The Telegraph, Cardini owned a restaurant in the tourist destination to “attract Americans frustrated by Prohibition.”A Caesar salad is a creation of romaine lettuce, crunchy croutons, anchovies and parmesan cheese. Dressed with a beautiful sauce using Worcester, anchovies, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and black pepper. What a way to tickle those tasty buds and super delicious.... Hail Caesar......

I love making Foccacia dough.....That bit when you wiggle and stretch your fingers, ready to play Mozart's 5th symphony in A flat minor, straight into the heart of the waiting dough, epic, do it now.... Theres something therapeutic about making a really beautiful focaccia...Knocking it back, playing the piano and rustling up beautiful ingredients to adorn it with. Get involved and feel free to play around with the toppings you won't regret it...Great fun to tear this up and share with all your friends and family... Grazia Italy....

Broad Bean & Pistachio Hummus…

Hummus is a real favourite. Beautiful as a simple snack, delicious served with salad, our favourite pairing is crispy seasonal vegetables. Particularly love spring time in the kitchen where small fresh asparagus tips are readily available and just seem to pair so well with this tasty dip...Sometimes we even scatter with fresh parmesan...Of course D.O.P. Amazing as a simple accompaniment to buffalo mozzarella, delicious served in fresh pasta, as a filling for a baked potato even with chunks of crusty bread. Whilst the traditional chickpea based hummus is delicious and taken from the words of Jane Clarke at Nourish she likes this recipe in particular the lighter feeling of the broad beans and the pistachio provide a great source of protein. Give it a go I know you won't be disappointed...
