Any time of day....One is just not enough... We have doubled the recipe to create 2 loaf cakes or 16 muffins, delicious served still slightly warm from the oven with a spoonful of natural yogurt.....
A simple, healthy and fun blast back to my youth, the Marathon Bar, probably known to you youngsters as Snickers. This version sports no processed sugar and the minimum of cooking. A delicious layer of freshly made nougat using popped quinoa or rice, fresh dates and syrup for the caramel. All slavered in raw cacao. As you'll see from the pic, what fun that part was! Will keep in the fridge for up to 7 days......haha I don't think they'll last that long.........enjoy this epic, healthy and fun recipe!
Loved making these for Simon, super rich dark chocolate gooey brownies, the sweet earthy taste of beetroot and the crunch of chopped walnuts, totally delicious, today I used agave syrup for sweetness.............Perfect served just warm from the oven.
