Apple & Date Flapjack

A delicious sweet, moist flapjack with a nutty crunch! These luscious little bars will last in an airtight container for up to a week. Mix it up! change to your favourite fruit, coconut and cherry, raisin and cinnamon, blueberries.......the list goes on. Stretch your range..... spiced curried apple and cardamon!

200 Grams butter

200 Grams demerara sugar

2 tbsp golden syrup

275 Grams oats/maca

100 Grams apple (it will be about 2 apples)

75 Grams dates


Simply grease and line a 30 x 23 cm baking tray and preheat oven to 170C.  In a pan, heat the butter, sugar and syrup until just melted.  Stir in the remaining ingredients.  Spread into the tray and bake for approximately 30 mins.  Remove from oven and let it cool for 10 mins.  Then cut into squares with a knife and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
